In this workshop sponsored by Magento U, you’ll learn how to use key marketing features of Magento 2 to create promotional campaigns.

In this workshop, you will create and stage a coupon-driven shopping cart promotion by learning how to:

  • Use Magento Business Intelligence to determine best sellers in your store
  • Create customer segments defining to which market your promotion is offered
  • Create related product rules and apply them to your segment
  • Stage changes to content on various pages in your website
  • Use Magento’s advanced CMS functionality to create content for your website
  • Create targeted content for the appropriate segment (only)
  • Use customer attributes to create an opt-in marketing list (connected to your segment)
  • Use category price rules
  • Create category permissions (restrict catalog access) to drive registrations

Target Audience

This workshop is intended primarily for merchants and marketers who have a basic understanding of Magento Admin.
Note: This is a not a technical deep-dive session and no Magento development knowledge or experience is required.

Prerequisites and Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with Magento Admin
  • This full-day class includes hands-on exercises. Bring your own laptop on which to do the exercises. You will be provided with VM access instructions in advance via email. Please read the VM access instructions carefully and make sure you are ready to access your VM at the start of the class session.
